Five Attorneys Named 2012 “Lawyers of the Year” by Best Lawyers

Tampa, FL- Fowler White Boggs is pleased to announce that five of their attorneys have been selected by Best Lawyers as 2012 “Lawyers of the Year” for their practice specialty and location.

Mitchell I. Horowitz has been named Tampa’s Litigation & Controversy - Tax Lawyer of the Year. Mr. Horowitz practices in the area of civil tax controversies with the Internal Revenue Service and Florida Department of Revenue, including U. S. Tax Court, federal district court and state court litigation; transactional and business law representation.

Eric J. Holshouser has been named Jacksonville’s Labor Law - Management Lawyer of the Year and Litigation - Labor & Employment Lawyer of the Year. Mr. Holshouser practices all aspects of labor and employment law, including equal employment opportunity, wage and hour, health and safety, employee benefits, non-compete, trade secret and wrongful discharge law, as well as legal matters involving union-company relations.

Richard A. Jacobson has been named Tampa’s International Trade and Finance Law Lawyer of the Year. Mr. Jacobson's legal practice includes assisting foreign clients with pre-residency tax planning; foreign investors in U.S. real estate; and U.S. companies doing business overseas.

Linda Loomis Shelley has been named Tallahassee’s Administrative / Regulatory Law Lawyer of the Year and Government Relations Practice Lawyer of the Year. Ms. Shelley has significant experience in environmental and land use permitting before state, regional and local entities and provides advice and assistance regarding Florida administrative practice and litigation.

Jacob D. Varn has been named Tallahassee’s Water Law Lawyer of the Year. Mr. Varn has experience in environmental and land use law, administrative and governmental law, and transportation law.
