Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Opens New Office in Ft. Lauderdale

Aventura and Ft. Lauderdale – November 21, 2013 – Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney announced today that on Monday, November, 25, they will open their new office in Downtown Ft. Lauderdale. As part of the firm’s expansion plans they will close their Aventura office. All staff and lawyers from the Aventura office will be located in the Ft. Lauderdale office.

The firm will be located on the 22nd floor of the Bank of America Plaza, a 23-story building at Las Olas City Centre. The Bank of America Plaza is located at 401 East Las Olas Boulevard. The building was awarded a Gold level LEED certification by the U.S. Green Building Council in 2013.

The office will be headed by Jack Kessler, who opened the firm’s Aventura office nearly 25 years ago. Kessler said, “complemented by our strong existing Downtown Miami office, the Aventura office’s move is part of the firm’s strategic plan to ensconce itself in South Florida’s growing business market. After spending close to three wonderful decades in Aventura, we look forward to continuing the momentum gained and the relationships built after all those years.”

Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney announced its intent to expand to Ft. Lauderdale when Finance Shareholders Philip M. Hanaka and John P. Dyro Sr. joined the firm in August of this year. Kessler explained, “Buchanan is nationally recognized for its sophisticated experience in the real estate and commercial lending arena, and this sector in South Florida is an area of significant growth.”
