Sean Girdwood, shareholder and co-chair of the firm's Finance Industry Team is quoted in the Pittsburgh Business Times article, "Welcome to PPP's last inning: Billions on deck, more changes pitched."

Sean Girdwood, co-chair of law firm Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC's finance industry team, said blanket PPP loan forgiveness would most likely be addressed in the next stimulus package negotiated between the House and Senate and might not emerge until mid- to late-July.

That might also trigger another round of changes. If blanket forgiveness is enacted for some arbitrary loan amount, the PPP loan recipients that have borrowed more, particularly the ones who only borrowed slightly above it, "would strongly advocate to increase the amount that could qualify for blanket forgiveness," Girdwood added.
