The Pharmaceutical Pipeline and the Changing Nature of Innovation and Collaboration in a COVID-19 World

Will Garvin, Barbara Binzak Blumenfeld, and Matt Fedowitz, shareholders in the firm's Life Sciences Industry Group—along with Grant Strachan of Brodies Solicitors in Scotland—will be presenting at the TerraLex 2020 Virtual Global Meeting on November 13. The group’s abstract, “The Pharmaceutical Pipeline and the Changing Nature of Innovation and Collaboration in a COVID-19 World,” will cover both European and U.S. perspectives on how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the pharmaceutical industry. Will is set to discuss FDA’s Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) pathway for COVID-19 therapeutics, medical devices, and diagnostics, and Barbara will be addressing the impact that the pandemic has had on other aspects of FDA’s operations and how industry has responded. Matt will provide a perspective on intellectual property opportunities in the age of COVID-19.
