Shareholder John R. Washlick Shares Insight with Bloomberg BNA on Top List of Health Issues for 2015
The advisory board of Bloomberg BNA’s Health Law Reporter recently published an article, titled “Hospital/Physician Alignment, Health IT Top List of Health Law Issues for 2015,” which covers the list of the top health law issues of 2015. Due to the ripple effects that are associated with it, the article notes hospital/physician alignment as number one on their list.
“A significant objective of the integration strategy is building an accountable care infrastructure of primary care physicians and specialists to be positioned to succeed in the new value-based reimbursement and population health management environment,’’ John Washlick says in the article.
Also noted on the advisory board’s list is Health Information and Technology. John noted that, “sophisticated technology infrastructures that connect providers to hospitals and payers are needed, not only for interoperability purposes, but also as a tool to measure the use of evidence-based protocols that are critical to the success of these entities.”
Other matters that made the list include fraud and abuse, Medicaid, Medicare and healthcare quality.
