Pittsburgh Labor and Employment Attorney David Laurent to Present at Indiana University of Pennsylvania's 28th Annual Labor Management Conference
Laurent will present "The New COBRA Laws," which will examine The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009's recent alterations to the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act (COBRA). Laurent's presentation will summarize the new rules — rules that materially alter how employers and plan administrators manage COBRA — and will look at how they can impact separation pay arrangements.
Other presenters include the district director for the United States Department of Labor and the commissioner for the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service, Pittsburgh Field Office.
The all-day conference, which is presented by IUP's Department of Industrial and Labor Relations, will take place at the Rustic Lodge Banquet Facility in Indiana, Pennsylvania.
