Pennsylvania Designates September 15 as Roberto Clemente Day

Chuck Kolling, senior principal in the firm’s Government Relations section, arranged for Roberto Clemente Jr. and his family to appear before the Pennsylvania State House and State Senate on June 27, 2023, to accept resolutions commemorating the anniversary of Roberto Clemente’s induction in the National Baseball Hall of Fame and designating September 15 as Roberto Clemente Day in Pennsylvania. Clemente was the first Caribbean and Latin-American baseball player inducted into the Hall of Fame. The day also coincides with the first day of Hispanic Heritage Month. Already acknowledged by Major League Baseball, the day will continue to honor Clemente in Pennsylvania for his legendary career in baseball and his dedication to humanitarian work.
