Buchanan will host a panel discussion, titled “Pennsylvania as an Energy Leader: The Role of Producers, Pipelines and Philadelphia,” at the 5th annual Shale Insight: A Marcellus Shale Coalition Conference on Wednesday, September 16. Panelists will present topics demonstrating how the success of Pennsylvania’s shale gas industry and the continued growth of Philadelphia’s industries are interconnected. The shale gas industry needs growth in industrial demand for its continued success, as well as legislative support for policies that will foster its continued development, while an abundant supply of inexpensive gas and NGLs as fuel and feedstock presents significant opportunities for economic growth, investment and jobs for the Philadelphia region.
