Connie Huttner, Intellectual Property Litigation Chair at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC, will provide her insight as a veteran patent litigator during a comprehensive program titled "Patent Litigation 2007," offered by the Practising Law Institute (PLI) on October 22-23, 2007, at the PLI New York Center.
A pioneer in the area of patent litigation, Huttner serves as chair of the program, which will provide lectures and demonstrations covering the following issues: implications of major new case law changes for patent litigation; claim construction and their effect on proof of infringement, including analysis of Phillips v. AWH; discovery problems and solutions; preliminary and permanent injunctions and declaratory judgments in patent cases; opinion letters, representation issues and the impact of Knorr-Bremse; proving damages and issues to consider in pursuing and defending the damages case; prosecuting a patent that holds up in litigation; and Section 337 litigation at the ITC.
