Mitchell I. Horowitz Named Tax Attorney of the Year by The Florida Bar

TAMPA, Fla. – April 23, 2018 – Buchanan proudly announces that Mitchell I. Horowitz, shareholder in the firm’s Tax Section in the Tampa office, has been named the Gerald T. Hart Outstanding Tax Attorney of the Year by the Tax Section of The Florida Bar.

Horowitz, past chair of the Tax Section of The Florida Bar, was selected for this honor based on his numerous professional accomplishments and contributions to the practice of tax law.

Horowitz represents individuals, tax exempt entities and business organizations, focusing his practice in the area of civil tax controversies with the IRS and Florida Department of Revenue, including U. S. Tax Court, federal district court and state court litigation, transactional and business law representation. He also has experience handling audit and collection matters and performing annual tax maintenance audits for businesses and tax exempt entities.

A graduate of Duke University School of Law, Horowitz has been recognized for his work by numerous organizations, including being named as a leading tax lawyer in Florida by Chambers USA.
