Matt Pilsner’s practice focuses on complex civil litigation. He has represented clients in a variety of matters, including antitrust litigation, commercial disputes, false advertising and unfair competition claims, and trade secret and restrictive covenant cases. Matt also has experience working across a number of industries, such as consumer products, energy, financial institutions, franchisors, and higher education.
Matt is a member of the firm’s Antitrust and Trade Regulation and Energy practice groups, as well as its Class Action Teams for Antitrust and Consumer Fraud/Product Liability. He has experience in defending class actions, including multidistrict litigation.
Prior to joining Buchanan, Matt served as a law clerk to the Honorable Terrence F. McVerry, U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania, from 2012-2016.
While in law school, Matthew served as an editor on the Duquesne Law Review and as an executive member of the Appellate Moot Court Board. He also worked as a teaching assistant and research assistant in the Legal Research & Writing Program.
