How Lucas Helps Clients
Lucas is a litigation associate in the Alexandria office. He assists clients with commercial and complex litigation matters; including matters related to antitrust, labor and employment, probate disputes, and corporate defense under the False Claims Act (FCA) and Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Lucas practices in the state and federal courts of Virginia.
Prior to joining Buchanan, Lucas worked as a judicial clerk, intern at the Securities and Exchange Commission’s Department of Enforcement, and as an associate trial attorney. These positions provided experience in commercial litigation, contract disputes, insurance defense, and government investigations. In addition, he gained experience in legal research, drafting documents such as briefs, pleadings, motions, and memoranda, and analyzing complex civil liability issues.

Outside the Office
Lucas is a native of Southwestern Virginia, and an avid fan of University of Virginia athletics. In his free time, he enjoys skiing, golfing and cooking.
