Josh focuses his practice on complex real estate matters helping clients across different industries. He frequently handles the acquisitions, dispositions, and financings of commercial real estate. He also helps clients through a variety of legal issues in the purchase and sale of high-end residential real estate.

He routinely negotiates commercial leases for landlords and tenants, including office leases, industrial leases, ground leases, medical leases, build-to-suit leases, retail leases and others. He assists clients with easements, adverse possession, quiet title, boundary disputes, and other matters concerning ownership of real estate.

He is knowledgeable about how the City of Philadelphia handles zoning and land use matters and frequently assists clients with variances, appeals, violations, permits, licenses, and property taxes. Josh also has experience successfully prosecuting many real property tax appeals each year in Philadelphia.

Josh frequently serves as general counsel to condominiums and community associations, and prepares governing documents for developers of condominiums and planned associations.

Outside the Office 

After residing in Center City Philadelphia since law school, Josh recently moved to a nearby suburb with his wife and daughter. Josh enjoys spending summer weekends with his family at the Jersey shore, bicycling, and technology.

  • Handle numerous City of Philadelphia zoning, permit, and tax issues to its lender’s satisfaction, allowing for the closing of a multi-million-dollar acquisition of 25+ multi-family properties near Temple University in 2022.
  • Assist client with the acquisition of a large warehouse in North Philadelphia for the relocation of its manufacturing business Assist 2 local real estate groups with 20+ real estate tax appeals each.
