How Jacob Helps Clients
Jacob assists clients with various commercial and complex litigation matters; including matters related to antitrust, labor & employment, and corporate defense against claims sounding in contract, tort, or statute – such as the False Claims Act (FCA) and the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA). Jacob primarily practices in the state and federal courts of Virginia but has experience in federal courts across the nation.
Prior to joining Buchanan, Jacob worked as a law clerk, judicial intern, and associate trial attorney, which exposed him to a variety of practice areas, such as commercial litigation, tort liability, medical malpractice, contract disputes, and insurance defense. In addition, he gained experience drafting documents like internal memos, letters to clients, briefs for court, and motions; preparing for and attending depositions and mediations; and analyzing complex civil liability issues.
Jacob graduated from the Antonin Scalia Law School at George Mason University in 2021. During law school, he served as an Articles Editor for the National Security Law Journal and excelled on the Moot Court Board.
