IT Speaker Series: Chevron CIO, Vice President to Address Pittsburgh Tech Council

On October 27, 2011, Chevron's Chief Information Officer Louie Ehrlich and Vice President Bruce Niemeyer will speak to the Pittsburgh Technology Council as part of its IT Speaker Series, sponsored by Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney.

As the CIO of Chevron, Ehrlich will outline the key role that information technology plays in supporting Chevron’s internal business processes and how Chevron leverages information technology to support their strategic growth plans. As a leader in the nation’s oil and gas industry, Ehrlich will share his perspectives on some of the key information technology trends that are occurring in this fast-paced field.

Chevron has become one of the largest players in the region’s Marcellus Shale industry with its recent acquisition of Atlas Energy. Niemeyer, a VP in Chevron’s North America Exploration and Production Company and head of its Marcellus business unit, will provide a brief introduction of Chevron’s regional operations.
