Joseph Dougherty, Buchanan's CEO and managing director, talks about the firm's partnership with Carnegie Mellon University's Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy to develop and run predictive analytics, and how the firm is using data to make better hiring decisions and provide enhanced client service.
"We’re implementing ways to use that information to be more strategic at lateral hiring and it became very apparent that we could take this and it would be a great way to take a next step forward," Joe Dougherty, Buchanan’s managing director and CEO said. "It all ties into how do we best serve the clients and how do we provide them with more value. What we want to do is work together with some of our clients, organizing and using data to better address their challenges or improve efficiencies."
"We’re working hard to make sure we give high quality service and that our lawyers are engaged and busy," Dougherty said. "The industry is changing rapidly. The market is different than it was five years ago and we’re reacting to it."
