Greg has the benefit of 20 years of experience assisting clients in building, securing, maintaining and enforcing patents for their inventions, especially those directed to chemical and pharmaceutical technologies.  He is involved in patent prosecution before the U.S. Patent Office and abroad, counsels clients in managing their patent portfolios and provides advice regarding due diligence, trade secrets, patent opinions and licensing.

Greg has patent experience in many technical areas, including organic chemistry, inorganic chemistry, biochemistry, polymer chemistry, food and beverage chemistry, pharmaceuticals, nutraceuticals, agrochemicals, OLEDs, batteries, catalysts, waste treatment, inks, wood preservatives, plastics, fabrics, fire retardants, wound dressings, cosmetics, perfumes, biosensors and mining.

In 2019, he earned recognition as a member of Law360’s Intellectual Property Practice Group of the Year, as well as The American Lawyer’s Intellectual Property Litigation Department of the Year.

During his 10 years as an industrial research chemist, Greg developed expertise in small molecule and peptidomimetic syntheses, including projects supporting antiviral and anticancer programs and the development of novel agrochemicals.  He has authored 11 scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals and is an inventor on 9 U.S. patents, including 5 as sole inventor.  While in law school, Greg served as a patent liaison at NASA Langley Research Center.
