Food and Drug Law Institute's Food and Drug Law Journal 2019 Symposium - Going Viral: Safeguarding Public Health in the Modern Era

On November 15, Barbara Binzak Blumenfeld will moderate a session at the Food and Drug Law Institute's Food and Drug Law Journal 2019 Symposium.

The Symposium, “Going Viral: Safeguarding Public Health in the Modern Era," will focus on how healthcare can be influenced by a single scientific study, article or person on social media to sway the public's view on a healthcare issue. Barbara's session will focus on two scholarly papers, one addressing the proliferation of stem cell therapies and the other on how public perception of consent standards for human research can influence data sharing and use.

FDLI is a non-profit membership organization focused on education, training, and discourse among members of the food and drug law community. Barbara is currently the Chair of the Editorial Advisory Board of the Food and Drug Law Journal, one of the premiere scholarly journals in the food and drug law area.
