Florida Bar Appoints Kimberly Gessner to Construction Law Certification Committee
Fort Lauderdale, FL– The law firm of Fowler White Boggs is pleased to announce that Kimberly A. Gessner, an attorney in the firm’s Commercial Litigation Practice Group, has been appointed by in-coming President Eugene Pettis to the Construction Law Certification Committee of The Florida Bar. Ms. Gessner will serve a three-year term commencing June 1, 2013. The Committee is responsible for establishing standards for board certification of construction lawyers in Florida including the preparation and grading of the certification exam.
Ms. Gessner provides clients with a wide range of legal services in construction, business, and employment litigation. Her practice focuses primarily in resolving legal disputes through pre-suit negotiations, civil litigation, mediation, and trial. She also advises clients on many preventative measures business owners can and should take relating to employment issues, when either starting a business, or wishing to improve their practices and procedures, including compliance with Federal and State regulations. Ms. Gessner is Board Certified in Construction Law by The Florida Bar. She received her B.A. from Baylor University and her J.D. from Nova Southeastern University’s Shepard Broad Law Center.
