COVID-19 Liability for Long-Term Care and Senior Care Providers - American Conference Institute

Michael W. Bootier, shareholder in the firm's Healthcare Litigation group, will be leading a session at the American Conference Institute's second National Forum on COVID-19 for Long-Term Care and Senior Care Providers. Michael's presentation entitled, "Class Action Think Tank: Analysis of Recent Class Actions" will include:

• Analysis of the initial class action lawsuits that have been filed against LTC providers, including the claims raised and the disposition of the various suits
• Review of class actions related to patient deaths from COVID-19 and potential defenses to those suits
• Review of additional grounds for putative class action suits including, for example, ADA claims
• Analysis of the class action filed against the Pennsylvania Department of Health related to state survey inspections
