Dilip Patel, shareholder and Yova Borovska, counsel in the firm’s Immigration practice, participated in the American Immigration Lawyers Association Central Florida Chapter’s 36th Annual Immigration Law Conference at The Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa in Clearwater, Florida.
On Friday, October 28, 2022, Dilip Patel spoke as part of a CLE session on “RFE, NOID, NOIR Strategies in Family and Naturalization Cases” and discussed creative strategies to respond to difficult requests and notices from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
On Saturday, October 29, 2022, Yova Borovska presented a CLE as a discussion leader and co-panelist on “AC21 and Job Changes: Understanding the Rules Governing Portability to a New Employer or Position.” Her session covered topics including H-1B portability and job changes, amended petitions, grace periods, portability in the I-485 context, and related I-9 compliance and practical considerations.
