CE Pro Magazine Discusses Limiting Exposure for Digital Breaches with S. Bryan Lawrence

CE Pro Magazine, a leading trade publication for professionals involved in the custom electronics business, recently published an article on tips to help limit exposure for digital breaches.

S. Bryan Lawrence, Of Counsel at Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney, told the publication that dealers should, “use caution when collecting and storing customers’ personal information such as social security numbers.”

He also noted that one should avoid collecting social security numbers entirely if possible. “I encourage you to do it in some fashion that doesn’t end up being on contract, like putting it on a separate piece of paper,” Lawrence said.
