Washington, D.C. – June 17, 2014 – Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney is proud to announce that FDA Shareholder Edward John Allera was inducted into the West Virginia School of Pharmacy Centennial Hall of Fame during the school’s Centennial Celebration Weekend on June 14.

Allera is the chairman of the firm’s FDA Practice Group and is based in the Washington, D.C. office. He focuses his practice on the development of new products and business opportunities in the areas of pharmaceuticals and technology, especially regarding the regulation and promotion of drugs, biologics and devices. He has worked extensively in the product life cycle management area and with almost every dosage form. With a background in the science surrounding dosage forms and pharmacokinetics, Allera has filed a large number of Citizen Petitions in the product life cycle management process.

After receiving his pharmacy degree from West Virginia University, Allera received his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center.
