BuchananInnovate Seeks to Enhance Law Firm Innovation and Client Service
Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney launches digital solutions center
PITTSBURGH (July 2023) - Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney has launched BuchananInnovate, the firm’s digital solutions center. Through enhanced digital capabilities, BuchananInnovate strives to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and create new opportunities for the firm’s clients, lawyers, government relations professionals and professional staff.

Both support a workplace that allows our lawyers and government relations professionals to do their jobs with increased efficiency, improving client service and driving increased business success," said Scott Angelo, the firm’s Chief Information Officer. "The BuchananInnovate Digital Solutions Center is an expansion of Buchanan’s current technology solutions platform, and it will help to transform how the law firm operates. It is a framework that will create more pathways and collaboration for our vendor partners and Buchanan professionals to offer efficient and effective solutions to clients."
BuchananInnovate will focus on the following goals:
- Data Analytics and Business Intelligence: The BuchananInnovate team will take raw data and make it meaningful to guide strategy. Through analytics and visualization including dashboards, charts or other graphics, it will provide solutions that drive business success.
- Automation and Artificial Intelligence: It will implement automation and AI technologies across the firm to improve efficiency and productivity in all areas. For example, Robotic Process Automation (RPA) has been launched for a project. RPA allows for increased efficiency, completing tasks at a rate much faster than a human.
- Cybersecurity: The firm will continue to focus and strengthen its cybersecurity measures to protect against cyber threats and data breaches.
- Digital Client Experience: BuchananInnovate will partner directly with clients to create solutions. It will improve the client experience through digital portals, interactive dashboards, and mobile apps.

In its foundational year, BuchananInnovate will focus on continuing to implement data analytics and automation tools across the firm. As the platform continues to evolve, BuchananInnovate will create a sandbox environment where Buchanan professionals, vendor partners, and clients can immerse themselves in new and leading technologies such as ChatGPT. Another component of BuchananInnovate will be events, including digital literacy Continuing Legal Education (CLE) programming, to support continued innovation and understanding of the ever-evolving digital landscape.
