Buchanan Welcomes Two New Business Professionals to Leadership Team
PITTSBURGH (October 2023) – Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney has added two new members to its leadership team. Kathy Deuschle has joined the firm as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in the Pittsburgh office and Liz Lockett has joined the firm as Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO) in the Washington, DC office.

As the firm’s CFO, Deuschle is responsible for the overall financial management of the firm and oversees financial operations. She has more than 25 years of experience in United States and global law firm financial management. Prior to joining Buchanan, Deuschle was a leader at two global Am Law 50 law firms.

A champion of legal innovation and the use of data analytics, Deuschle has experience supporting projects related to all law firm operations including initiatives focused on IT, practice innovation, knowledge management, and talent management.
Lockett leads the firm’s business development and marketing teams in her role as CBDO. She’ll be focused on the continued implementation of strategic plan initiatives including cross-function industry and client teams, business development coaching programs, and client feedback facilitation. She’ll also support marketing and communication strategies that elevate the firm’s national platform.

Lockett joins Buchanan with 25 years of experience in the legal industry leading business development and marketing teams. She has served on the executive leadership teams for many top law firms in the United States and around the globe.
