Buchanan Welcomes Returning Commercial Litigator William J. Moorhead
PITTSBURGH – February 14, 2019 – Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney is pleased to welcome back William J. Moorhead as of counsel in the Litigation section. Following nearly two years at a national firm, he returns to Buchanan where he is able to leverage Buchanan’s strong litigation platform for his practice. Moorhead is an experienced litigator whose practice focuses on commercial litigation, construction, professional liability defense and non-compete restrictive covenant litigation. He has tried numerous cases to verdict in state and federal court.
“We’re glad to call Bill a colleague once again. We know his work; we know his clients and both perfectly fit within our section. Having Bill back will be a tremendous benefit to clients across the firm,” said Gretchen L. Jankowski, co-chair of Buchanan’s Litigation section.
Moorhead’s diverse skill set gives the firm additional options to service its existing clients’ various litigation needs in and around Allegheny County and across Pennsylvania.
“I’m glad to be back at Buchanan where I spent nearly a decade of my career prior to leaving in 2017. I look forward to working alongside old and new colleagues across the firm as we continue to provide our litigation clients with top-notch service,” said Moorhead.
Moorhead obtained his B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and his J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law. He is active in his community, having served on the Mt. Lebanon School District Board of Directors and on the Center for Theater Arts Board of Directors.
