HARRISBURG / PITTSBURGH – December 8, 2015 – Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC Shareholder Jack M. Stover has been named to the National Law Journal’s 2015 national list of Litigation Trailblazers.
The National Law Journal designates fifty top litigation professionals nationally highlighting “those attorneys whose accomplishments place them at the highest rung of advancing litigation strategy.” Making the national list designates Stover as one of 50 movers and shakers in the U.S. who have impacted the litigation landscape through inventive and novel litigation approaches, strategies and practices.
With more than 40 years of experience in complex business and regulatory matters before the courts and administrative agencies, Stover has helped define the legal nexus between state regulation of business, insurance and nonprofit entities and litigation relating to such entities. He chaired or co-chaired Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney’s Litigation Section nationally for more than 14 years and served two terms as a member of the firm’s Board of Directors.
Stover has concentrated his practice in two principal areas—state regulation of insurance, businesses and nonprofits as well as business litigation involving commercial, insurance, professional and nonprofit entities. He has represented major clients in key areas of state regulation and litigation directly impacting the businesses and activities of such clients and has frequently been involved in cutting edge matters which help define the interrelationship of state regulation and litigation. His career has involved decades of experience representing insurance companies, businesses and nonprofit corporations, major charitable trusts, banking and trust entities, educational institutions, pharmaceutical companies, health care providers, and government entities.
