Buchanan Leadership Series: Education, The Economy and COVID-19 in Florida

Buchanan is pleased to host Former Governor Jeb Bush, Florida Speaker-designate Chris Sprowls and former U.S. Representative Tom Rooney to virtually present about pressing issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic regarding education at all levels in Florida.

They’ll share their insights regarding state and local online v. in person instruction decisions, state and federal education funding issues, impacts on child learning, advancement, testing, school grades, ways to address economic disparities in educational opportunity and more. Each will bring a unique perspective, drawing upon their state and national leadership experience.

With Chris Sprowls taking the Speaker’s seat in the Florida House of Representatives this fall, this is a unique opportunity to have a preview of the agenda that will drive education-related funding and policy decisions.

The conversation will be moderated by Raquel Rodriguez, former general counsel to Governor Bush. Rocky is a Litigation shareholder based in Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney’s Miami office and is Chair of the Firm’s Florida Offices.
