The article discusses the recent move by International Pharmaceutical Excipients Council (IPEC) to develop a legislative proposal that would, according to Wiltraut, "empower the FDA by establishing a more formalized third-party auditing structure," thereby protecting the pharmaceutical supply chain from adulterated excipients.
