WASHINGTON - Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney continues to expand its DC office with the addition of David Kramer and John Nading as shareholders in its intellectual property section.

Kramer's practice is focused on trademark, copyright, and media law with particularly deep experience in the fashion, retail, interactive entertainment, television, and financial services industries. He assists both mature and emerging companies on all aspects of brand development from inception through international expansion and beyond. Key areas of experience include strategic domestic and international trademark clearance and prosecution, brand development and protection, global trademark portfolio management, trademark and copyright enforcement and litigation, intellectual property licensing agreements and due diligence, domain name dispute resolution, intellectual property issues arising on the Internet and in social media, as well as pre-publication media review.

Nading partners with clients to protect and enforce their valuable brands. Focusing his practice on trademarks and copyrights, and related intellectual property matters, including unfair competition, false advertising, right of publicity, and new media, Nading leads cases throughout the country in federal court and before the United States Trademark Trial and Appeal Board. He has also led multi-pronged litigation around the world as part of global disputes. As part of litigation, Nading provides counseling, including as to the selection, adoption, and use of trademarks, and domestic and international trademark procurement and enforcement. He represents clients from all industries, including finance, consumer products, beverage, healthcare, telecommunications, pharmaceuticals, fashion, food and restaurant, art, and non-profits.
