Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Shareholder James J. Sullivan Recognized as 2015 Client Choice Award Winner
Client Choice begins their process with a readership survey of International Law Office (ILO) and Lexology in-house counsel subscribers. Clients are asked to rate individual lawyers and law firms on the following client service criteria: quality of legal advice, value for the money, commercial awareness, effective communication, billing transparency, tailored fee structures, response time, sharing of expertise and use of technology. To ensure that the results cannot be influenced, law firms are not informed when this initial round of research is conducted.
Sullivan is a shareholder in the firm’s Labor & Employment Practice Group and works out of the firm’s Wilmington and Philadelphia offices. He has counseled employers in many aspects of safety and health and labor and employment for more than 30 years.
He represents employers in union-related conflicts, including unfair labor practice proceedings, collective bargaining negotiations, grievance/arbitration hearings and active management of union election campaigns. He also represents major employers before federal and state OSHA and MSHA in significant citations and litigation including cases, involving fatalities, serious injuries and multiemployer work sites.
Sullivan earned his law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Labor Relations from The Pennsylvania State University.
