Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Names Matthew F. Burger as Co-Chair of Energy Section

Pittsburgh, PA – October 8, 2013 –Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney announced today that Matthew F. Burger will co-chair the firm’s Energy Section. James O’Toole, Jr. will continue to co-lead the section with Burger.

Buchanan’s integrated energy team includes more than 80 lawyers and professionals who practice in the energy industry and focus on the areas of corporate finance, environmental, regulatory, tax, litigation, labor and employment, intellectual property, real estate and government relations.

About Matthew F. Burger
Matthew F. Burger is a shareholder and member of the firm’s Board of Directors. He has 20 years of experience representing natural gas exploration and production companies and coal companies in litigation and commercial matters, and has served as trial counsel for energy companies in federal and state courts and arbitration tribunals across the United States. He currently serves as lead Pennsylvania trial counsel for a leading exploration and production company involved in Marcellus and Utica Shale development.
