Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Lands Eight Labor and Employment Attorneys from Obermayer
PHILADELPHIA – August 2, 2017 – Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney further solidifies its leadership position as one of Pennsylvania’s largest Labor & Employment teams with the addition of eight attorneys formerly with Obermayer Rebmann Maxwell & Hippel. The four shareholders, Joseph J. Centeno, Larry Besnoff, Jacqueline K. Gallagher and Min S. Suh; and four associates, Teleicia J.R. Dambreville, Gregory J. Eck, Charlene A. Barker Gedeus, and Michael E. Truncellito, all based in Philadelphia, enhance Buchanan’s significant national and local experience providing counsel on Labor, Employment, Benefits and Immigration issues.

Joseph J. Centeno, who will serve as co-chair of the section, has a national practice that includes collective and class action litigation, employment litigation, labor relations, diversity, Title IX and executive employment agreements. Centeno is a national advocate for diversity in the legal profession. He has served as the President of the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and currently serves on the Comcast NBCUniversal Joint Diversity Council and as outside general counsel to the Minority Corporate Counsel Association.
Larry Besnoff represents management in all phases of employment law and has extensive experience defending equal employment opportunity and wrongful discharge cases before administrative agencies and state and federal courts. He also served as a senior trial attorney at the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s Philadelphia District Office. Besnoff is active in a number of Philadelphia civic organizations, including serving as Chairman, 5th Ward Democratic Party.
Jacqueline K. Gallagher practices in the areas of labor and management relations, discrimination litigation, and counsels clients on federal and state labor and employment law compliance. She handles extensive defense litigation cases on behalf of insurance carriers and self-insured corporations and has a significant knowledge of trucking law. Gallagher is a member of the Philadelphia Community Outreach Group and the Defense Research Institute, as well as other professional and civic organizations.
Min S. Suh focuses on employment-based immigration law, including immigrant and non-immigrant visa petitions and permanent employment certification applications. Suh assists companies in developing best practices programs in I-9 Compliance and Verification and also represents U.S. and multiglobal companies engaged in global mobilization of personnel. She serves as general counsel for the International Association of Korean Lawyers.
