Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Hosts San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce Delegates
On September 18, 2011, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney's Washington, D.C., and Alexandria, Va. offices welcomed delegates from the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce as they arrived in the nation's capital for the chamber's fifth annual "One Region, One Voice" mission.
The three-day "One Region, One Voice" trip afforded delegates the opportunity to address issues that are important to San Diego businesses with federal officials. This year, priority topics included water and energy, border-related issues, immigration, military and homeland security, technology, hospitality, housing, education and workforce, and transportation and infrastructure.
At the firm-hosted welcome reception, San Diego Chamber President Ruben Barrales, Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Board Member and Real Estate Practice Chair Jacqui Fiske Lazo, the firm's San Diego Managing Shareholder Keith R. Solar and Washington, D.C. Managing Shareholder Edward John Allera spoke to the importance of partnerships and emphasized the benefits of a bicoastal presence, a unique attribute shared by the chamber and Buchanan. Shareholder Robert J. Parks was also on hand to represent the firm's San Diego office.
