Newark, NJ (January 2023) - Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney continues its strategic growth in New Jersey with the addition of Christopher Warren as counsel and Leonard Jones as an associate in the Newark office.

Warren is an experienced commercial litigator who focuses his practice on defending clients in products liability, premises liability, environmental regulatory, and professional liability matters. With his diverse practice, he has assisted clients in the chemical, mining, pharmaceutical, automotive, and energy industries before federal and state administrative agencies and courts across the nation.

“Buchanan presented an opportunity to expand my relationships with clients and support them with a full-service, national firm platform,” said Warren. “I look forward to growing my practice here and working with my new colleagues.” 

Warren also has experience defending professional liability, medical malpractice, general liability and nursing home and long-term care cases. He has counseled clients to ensure environmental regulatory compliance under the Comprehensive Environmental Response Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA), the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA), and state environmental statutes. Additionally, he has handled matters involving commercial tenant evictions, condominium and town home associations, and Chapter 7 and 11 bankruptcy. At the beginning of his legal career, he served as a law clerk to The Honorable Arthur Bergman in the Superior Court of New Jersey, Civil Division. He holds a law degree from Florida Coastal School of Law and a bachelor’s degree from Paine College.

Jones is an associate in the firm’s labor and employment section. His employment law practice includes handling discrimination, disability, sexual harassment, civil rights violation, whistleblowing, Title VII, and Title IX investigations. Jones also advises clients on all aspects of employment law and regulation, conducts internal investigations of complaints, and drafts policies. He holds a bachelor’s degree and Master of Public Administration from Seton Hall University, and he holds a law degree from Rutgers University School of Law.
