WASHINGTON, D.C. – April 25, 2022 – As Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney continues to grow its International Trade and National Security practice, the firm welcomes Milton Koch as strategic consultant. Koch follows Daniel Pickard, chair of the practice who joined in February – both coming from the same firm.

Koch is a Certified Public Accountant and a former analyst at the U.S. Department of Commerce. He supports clients involved in trade remedy investigations by developing strategies based on in-depth analysis of complex financial data. He has a strong track record of providing creative and novel solutions reflecting the business structure of multinational companies and unique subsidy schemes of foreign governments. He serves as an analyst and accountant in cases across a number of industries, including stainless steel manufacturing, green energy, among others.

“I’m delighted to have Milton join our International Trade practice. He brings a wealth of experience in regard to antidumping and countervailing duty investigations both from his time in the government and from private practice. Milton is a leading expert in regard to the Commerce Department’s dumping AD/CVD calculation methodologies and will provide tremendous value to our clients,” said Pickard.

“Buchanan provides me with an opportunity to not only continue to work alongside Dan Pickard, but also to grow at a firm with a large, national presence and support clients in key industries such as manufacturing, life sciences and finance,” added Koch.

Buchanan’s international trade attorneys represent the interests of U.S.-based companies and manufacturing associations, helping them obtain relief against unfairly priced imports. The group also helps clients anticipate and navigate the often complex and nuanced laws and regulations governing international trade.
