Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Adds Governor Wolf’s Longtime Advisor, Rob Ghormoz to Its Government Relations Group
HARRISBURG, Pa. – January 6, 2022 – Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney is pleased to welcome Rob Ghormoz as principal in its Government Relations Group. Ghormoz brings with him a decade of state executive branch, government relations strategy and political campaign experience, with the majority of his career spanning a number of key roles in Governor Tom Wolf’s administration.
He served as deputy chief of staff to the Governor, secretary of intergovernmental affairs and most recently as senior advisor to the Governor. In that role, Ghormoz was responsible for serving as the primary political and policy advisor to Governor Wolf. He advised on environmental and energy policy, oversaw all aspects of economic development for the Wolf administration and coordinated all economic development related grant programs in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development.

Ghormoz received his B.A. from Penn State University and is a member of the boards of several of Philadelphia’s tourism agencies, including Historic Philadelphia, Independence Visitors Center and the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau. Ghormoz was named to the Pennsylvania 30 under 30 Rising Stars list by Politics PA and to the Pennsylvania 40 under 40 Rising Stars list by City and State PA.
