Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Achieves MCCA Approved Accreditation

PITTSBURGH - April 2023 – Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney proudly announces that it has earned the MCCA Approved 2023 Silver Seal Accreditation from the Minority Corporate Counsel Association (MCCA).

MCCA Approved is a framework for establishing sustainable diversity, equity and inclusion strategy focused on actionable solutions for law firms and corporate legal departments. The framework does this by working to impact three fundamental areas within member organizations including, leadership accountability, business processes and practices and human capital diversity metrics.

To achieve the Silver Seal, Buchanan had to meet extensive requirements ranging from scoring a 90% on the MCCA Diversity Scorecard for transparency to having implemented a formal recruiting strategy to increase the number of women and diverse attorneys in the firm.

Buchanan was also recently named a Diversity and Inclusion – Firm honoree by the Daily Business Review, as part of the publication’s Florida Legal Awards. In 2022, the firm was recognized by The Legal Intelligencer with its Diversity Initiative award, as part of the publication’s Pennsylvania Legal Awards. The firm has received many other diversity awards and certifications including LCLD’s 2022 Top Performer and Compass Awards and the Bloomberg DEI Framework.
