PITTSBURGH – May 31, 2018 – Amy L. Barrette, an experienced environmental litigator, joins Buchanan's Energy section as shareholder in the firm's Pittsburgh office. Barrette has significant experience handling environmental matters for energy companies across the U.S., with Cabot Oil and Gas being one of her most notable clients.

Barrette advises clients on a number of issues, including alleged contamination of water supplies, hydraulic fracturing claims, personal injury, contract, royalty, zoning and lease disputes, as well as environmental practices. She has experience representing clients in negotiations with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, the U.S. Department of Environmental Protection and the U.S. Department of Justice.

Barrette received her B.A. from Washington & Jefferson College and received her J.D. from Duquesne University School of Law, where she was a member of the Law Review. She is a member of the Marcellus Shale Coalition's Natural Gas Use, Water Resources, and Waste Management and Recycling subcommittees, as well as a member of the Energy & Mineral Law Foundation.
