Buchanan Helps Secure $18.6M in Federal and State Funding for Pittsburgh International Airport
Buchanan’s government relations team of Terry Heubert, Bob Shuster and Chuck Kolling worked closely with Airport and a several members of Pennsylvania’s congressional delegation, of both parties, including Representatives Conor Lamb (D-PA), Mike Doyle (D-PA), Guy Reschenthaler (R-PA, Mike Kelly (R-PA) and Glenn "GT" Thompson (R-PA) and Senators Bob Casey (D-PA) and Pat Toomey (R-PA), to secure an $18.7 million U.S. Department of Transportation Better Utilizing Investment to Leverage Development (BUILD) Grant for Pittsburgh International Airport
Quoted in the Pittsburgh Business Times, Christina Cassotis, CEO, Allegheny County Airport Authority expressed gratitude for the regional effort by the congressional delegation for achieving the new funding that's expected expand the facilities at Pittsburgh International Airport in ways to make it more competitive.
“As the demand for cargo infrastructure increases, we are getting interest from carriers and freight forwarders around the world seeking to diversify their supply chains to airports with less congestion, resulting in efficiencies for their network, time and money savings, and risk mitigation," she said. "This project enables the Pittsburgh region to be at the forefront of accommodating that demand,”
