Buchanan Energy Shareholder Alan M. Seltzer Appointed to Pennsylvania Pipeline Infrastructure Task Force
On Tuesday, July 7, Governor Tom Wolf announced the list of those appointed to the Pennsylvania Pipeline Infrastructure Task Force – a stakeholder-driven effort that will develop policies, guidelines and tools to assist in pipeline development (including planning, permitting and construction) as well as long-term operation and maintenance, reports the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection’s website.
Buchanan Energy Shareholder Alan M. Seltzer has been appointed to the Siting and Routing Workgroup of the Task Force. This workgroup is tasked with developing best practices related to planning, siting and routing pipelines in ways that avoid, minimize or mitigate environmental and community impacts from pipelines across the Commonwealth.
Nearly 150 individuals will serve on 12 workgroups which will each focus on a particular matter, including pipeline safety and integrity, siting and routing, environmental protection, conservation, agriculture, emergency preparedness, natural gas end use, county government, local government, public participation, workforce and economic development, and historical, cultural and tribal issues.
The Task Force will detail its findings in a final report to Governor Tom Wolf by February 2016.
