Buchanan Announces New Leadership Team Members Following CEO Transition
The Firm Appoints Two New Executive Shareholders and Names Seven Newly Elected and Reelected Board Members
PITTSBURGH – (May 2024) Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney announced newly appointed Executive Shareholders and newly elected and reelected members of the firm’s Board of Directors. The announcement was made in conjunction with Jim Newell taking over as the firm’s Chairman and CEO earlier this month.
Executive Shareholders
Joseph Centeno and Jennifer Minter have been appointed to serve as Executive Shareholders and join the firm’s Executive Management Team.
Centeno serves as co-chair of the firm’s Labor, Employment, Benefits & Immigration Section, and is a nationally recognized leader in labor and employment law. He currently serves on the firm’s compensation, hiring, and nominating committees and previously served on the firm’s Board of Directors and promotions committee.
Minter serves as chair of the firm’s Corporate Section and focuses her practice on a range of corporate finance matters, with an emphasis on federal and state securities law compliance, advising companies on corporate governance and board matters, securities transactions for private and public companies, private capital financings and ongoing representation of emerging growth companies. She previously served on the firm’s Board of Directors.

At the firm’s annual meeting, seven shareholders were newly elected and reelected to open board seats, including Tom Buchanan, Dave Cellitti, Philip Hanaka, Jennifer Olmedo-Rodriguez, Jason Parish, Dan Pickard and Lloyd Smith.
Tom Buchanan serves as executive vice president and is active in the Corporate Section’s Executive Committee. Tom has over 25 years of experience representing clients across a broad range of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, dispositions, venture capital financings and joint ventures.
Dave Cellitti serves as co-leader for the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions Practice Group and focuses his practice on middle-market mergers and acquisitions, major corporate transactions, strategic planning, compliance and day-to-day operations.
Philip Hanaka serves as co-leader of the firm’s Finance Industry Group and focuses his practice on financial services, with experience in representing national and international financial institutions across all areas of lending.
Jennifer Olmedo-Rodriguez serves as head of the firm’s Miami office and focuses her practice on complex commercial litigation, class action defense litigation and civil appellate litigation.
Jason Parish serves as co-leader of the firm’s Life Sciences Industry Group and as leader of the firm’s Life Sciences Litigation Practice Group. He focuses his practice on complex litigation and government investigations.
Dan Pickard serves as the leader of the firm’s International Trade & National Security Practice Group, representing clients in international trade and national security-related matters. He has deep experience in all aspects of international trade law, including trade remedy matters such as antidumping, countervailing duty, and safeguard investigations.
Lloyd Smith serves as co-chair of the firm's Intellectual Property Section, and previously served as chair of the firm’s IP Litigation Practice Group and head of the firm's Alexandria office. Lloyd focuses his practice on intellectual property litigation and enforcement matters.
