Buchanan Adds Andrew Weissenberg as Counsel in Healthcare Section
NEW YORK (November 2023) - Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney continues its strategic growth in practices serving key industries with the addition of Andrew Weissenberg as Counsel in its Healthcare section. His practice focuses on healthcare transactional matters and regulatory compliance.
Weissenberg joins Buchanan with significant experience serving healthcare clients. He counsels clients across the country with respect to healthcare fraud and abuse issues related to state and federal anti-kickback and physician self-referral laws, physician entity structuring, licensure matters and corporate practice of medicine prohibitions.
Weissenberg’s transactional practice includes buy and sell side representation with respect to healthcare transactions, private equity transactions, and day-to-day corporate matters including, advising directors, officers and executives, as well as drafting, reviewing, and negotiating employment agreements, organizational documents, service agreements, and any other pertinent transaction document.
He represents a variety of clients, including group practices, behavioral health providers, clinical laboratories, cannabis companies, telehealth companies, management companies and individual providers. He also advises healthcare providers and physician practices in connection to complaints, audits, and investigations by state and federal regulatory authorities.

Weissenberg holds a law degree with a certification in health law from the University of Maryland School of Law and a bachelor's degree from Brandeis University.
