Attracting and Retaining Healthcare Talent Through Compensation Strategies

On August 31, Buchanan will be hosting a one-hour hybrid CLE presentation where attorneys from the Labor & Employment and Healthcare sections will discuss the decisions that often need to be made by healthcare employers when hiring. The program will cover the following topics:

• Comparison of recruitment loans, signing bonuses and retention bonuses to attract and retain healthcare workers.
• Development of incentive compensation plans with forfeiture provisions, restrictive covenants, and liquidated damages provisions.
• Employment agreements with notice provisions, liquidated damages, and restrictive covenants.
• Methods for recovery of payments from employees.
• Unique healthcare issues, including compliance with Stark and Anti-Kickback laws for physicians.
