Wein Participates in American Bar Association Sponsored Program

Howard J. Wein, a shareholder in the Environmental Law Section of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney's Pittsburgh office, participated in an American Bar Association-sponsored program entitled "Environmental Compliance and Criminal Enforcement."

During the panel discussion, co-sponsored by the Mid-Atlantic Region of the ABA's White Collar Crime Committee, Wein weighed in on the impact current environmental regulations have on corporate obligations, as well as the criminal liability individuals and corporations have under various environmental statutes.

The program, hosted December 9, 2010 in Pittsburgh, also discussed sentencing issues specific to environmental cases.
