AILA is a premier national association of more than 15,000 attorneys and law professors who practice and teach immigration law. Three of Buchanan’s Florida-based Shareholders, Christine Alden, Gina Polo and Dilip Patel, will be featured presenters during the two-day event focused on a wide range of topics in immigration law and the challenges of practicing in today’s environment.

Miami’s Christine Alden will serve as a Panelist for the “I Will Survive – EB-5 Investor Perspectives” presentation on February 28. Christine is also President-elect for AILA’s South Florida Chapter and will ascend to the position in May. She has been an active member in the AILA organization, serving as  Chair of the Budget Committee and Chair of the Conference itself.

Gina Polo, also based in Miami, will be featured in a February 28 panel geared toward attorney practitioners titled “Don’t Stop Believin’ – How to Build, Maintain and Strengthen Your Practice.” Gina will offer her insights on the various aspects of succeeding in immigration practice that are not taught in law school or any textbook. Gina is a member of both the South Florida and Rome Districts Chapters of the AILA organization.

Dilip Patel, of the Tampa office, will offer his expertise as a panelist for “Should I Stay of Should I Go? Trick Consular Processing Issues” on March 1. Dilip will provide practical tips to get through ever-evolving Consular adjudication issues for both non-immigrant and immigrant visa applicants. Dilip has been a member of AILA since 1990 and has served in several leadership roles for the organization.
