Sophia has a passion for advocacy work and helping others stemming from her native Colombian roots. This passion has only grown through her work in the legal field and now through government relations. Sophia is dedicated to helping her clients and fiercely advocating for their needs. She doesn’t shy away from anything, instead is an avid problem solver. You can always count on her to have a big smile and a positive attitude.

Outside the Office

Sophia is originally from Bogota, Colombia, and is very in touch with her Latin roots so she enjoys exploring different Latin cuisines around the city as well as dancing. On any given Sunday morning, you can find her strolling through the Dupont farmers market before heading to Georgetown with some friends!

Sophia works with children through Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) to ensure the protection and humane treatment of unaccompanied children throughout their immigration journey.
