Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney Taps William J. Ryan as New Chief Financial Officer
Ryan replaces Michael J. Pauvlinch, who will retire in July
PITTSBURGH – June 13, 2017 – Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney welcomes William J. Ryan as the firm’s new chief financial officer. Ryan replaces Michael J. Pauvlinch, who will retire in July after 10 years with the firm as CFO and previously as director of the litigation section. Ryan joins Buchanan after spending more than 30 years at an AmLaw 100 firm in several positions, most notably as its CFO since 1999. He will be primarily based in Buchanan’s Washington, D.C. office.
As Buchanan’s CFO, Ryan will be responsible for the overall financial management of the firm. Ryan will oversee all financial operations, including financial reporting and analytics, cash management, budgeting, negotiating and maintaining credit facilities, billing and collections, internal controls, audits and tax compliance.

A Washington, D.C. area native, Ryan holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from George Washington University and is a member of the Association of Legal Administrators.
