Philadelphia, PA, January 13, 2009 ― Litigation shareholder Francis (Frank) X. Taney, Jr., of Buchanan Ingersoll & Rooney PC, was named president-elect of the Entrepreneurs' Forum of Greater Philadelphia. His term will run from July 1, 2009, to June 30, 2010.

Dedicated to fostering entrepreneurial activity among early stage companies and entrepreneurs in the Delaware Valley, the Entrepreneurs' Forum serves as a clearing house and focal point for entrepreneurs, inventors, investors and professional advisors to exchange ideas, advice and investment opportunities.

About Taney

Frank Taney chairs the Information Technology Litigation Practice Group and is a member of the Technology Transactions Group. His practice focuses on complex commercial litigation in a variety of substantive areas. He has experience in construction, antitrust, copyright, trade secret and information technology (IT) litigation, as well as disputes involving eminent domain and government contracts. Taney's clients range from individual entrepreneurs and start-ups to publicly traded companies.

In addition to his IT litigation practice, Taney negotiates IT-related transactions for his clients, including software licensing agreements, IT outsourcing, web hosting, software development and other IT service contracts. He also counsels clients on methods to avoid or minimize the adverse impact of IT-related disputes.
